Knights defeat Knightstown 5-4

The boys beat Knightstown 5-4 in 9 innings to open sections play. Kaiden White pitched 8 innings allowing 4 runs all unearned. He struckout 6 and walked 4. Logan White came on and pitched the 9th inning hitting the first batter he faced but a failed bunt attempt by Knightstown led to the runner at first base being thrown out by Keaton Mikesell. Logan retired the next 2 batters on ground balls to end the game. The boys got down early but kept battling and were able to tie the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Carson Terrell a hit in the 7th that drove in the tying run and a hit in the 9th that drove in the winning run. Justice Hollingsworth had 2 big hits that drove in 3 runs on the night. The boys are now 20-8 on the season. They play the winner of the Shenandoah-Union County game on Friday at 2:00 pm.
