The Knights wrapped up dual matches in the TEC this evening with a 177-181 victory over the Winchester Falcons. The home match was contested on the back nine at Highland Lake Golf Course. Hayden Chalfant continued his strong play for the team with a very solid 37. His round was punctuated with an eagle on the long par 5 17th hole. Hayden once again stayed away from double bogey or worse on his card. Another medalist honor for the year as well! Senior Jon Michaels continued his consistency on Senior Night. Jon fired a respectable 45. As coach it has been a pleasure to have Jon on the team. He works hard and tries to improve every night. Freshman Marshall Phillips also carded a 45 for the squad. Marshall made bogey on every hole. When we started the season that was on of our goals for the newcomers. Could we make bogey or better for the entire 9 and Marshall achieved that goal. Brady Geis and Brandt Benjamin at 50 and 52 respectively rounded out the varsity scores. On JV, Senior Grant Luebbe had a very nice 48 to pace the team. For just joining the squad as a senior, Grant has performed very well over the course of the season! Owen Evicks with 58, Blake Hampton 59 and Cam Campbell 62 were the remainder of the JV scores. The Knights compete in the TEC Championship on Saturday!
