The Knights went to Muncie on Thursday and defeated the Bearcats 13-2. Landen Sum pitched a 7 inning complete game only allowing 3 hits, 1 base on balls and 1 hit batter and 2 runs both unearned on only 75 total pitches to lead the Knights to the victory on the pitching side. Kaiden White had 4 hits and 4 runs scored to get the offense started. Keaton Mikesell followed that up by just having 5 hits in 5 at bats. He had 3 runs scored and 4 runs batted in. It was a 6-2 game going into the 5th inning when the bottom 3 of the batting order of Waters, Burkhart and Sum all got on base that led to scoring 4 additional runs to stretch the lead to 10-2. Three more runs were scored in the top of the 7th inning to close out the scoring. The boys are now 3-0 on the season and host Monroe Central on Monday.
