Lady Knights Fall to the Wildcats Even though Northeastern Varsity Knights collected nine hits to Franklin County's eight, they still fell 9-5 on Friday. Karri Gammon, Addisyn Wright, and Zella Cook each collected two hits for Northeastern Varsity Knights. Northeastern Varsity Knights got on the board in the first inning after Gammon homered to center field, scoring two runs. Franklin County took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after B Kaiser grounded out, and Northeastern Varsity Knights committed an error, each scoring one run. Northeastern Varsity Knights took the lead in the top of the fourth. Wright singled, scoring two runs, to give Northeastern Varsity Knights the upper hand, 4-3. Franklin County made the score 6-4 in the bottom of the fourth after Stang hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and A Hoff doubled, scoring two runs. Mackenzie Johnson stepped in the circle first for Northeastern Varsity Knights. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and nine runs (five earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking four. I Stenger began the game for Franklin County. The hurler surrendered five hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Gammon and Wright each drove in two runs for Northeastern Varsity Knights. Hoff, T Billman, and E Fellure each collected two hits for Franklin County. Kaiser and Hoff were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Franklin County. Northeastern Varsity Knights welcome Knightstown on Monday for their next game.
