The Lady Knights played Union County at Hagerstown on Friday night in the Sectional 41 Semifinal matchup. The Patriots opened the game with a flurry as the Knights struggled on offense posting just 4 points in the opening quarter. The same continued in the second quarter as Northeastern just couldn't find the rhythm offensively and trailed at halftime by a score of 21-11. The second half was a different story as the Lady Knights caused some turnovers with their defense and at one point were able to bring the game within 4 points. Timely buckets by Union County and hitting their free throws at the end of the game sealed the deal as the Knights lost by a final of 41-34. Northeastern had a very good season finishing with a record of 16-9 overall.
