The Northeastern Lady Knights traveled to Southwestern High School in Shelbyville for the second straight year to battle for the Regional Championship. For the second year in a row, that's where their season would come to a close. Northeastern opened the game with 2 straight steals for layups and appeared to have the upper hand early. Heritage Christian was fight back with a couple made three pointers and lead 12-6 after one. By halftime, the Eagles had doubled the Knights total and led 28-14. In the second half, the Lady Knights would come out with tenacity on defense, allowing them to fight their way back into the game. They still trailed by 8 going into the 4th quarter. By the end of the quarter, Heritage Christian played keep away forcing the Knights to foul to extend the game. Despite the effort by Northeastern in the second half, Heritage Christian was perfect from the free throw line to take home the win. The Lady Knights finished the season 24-2.
