Knights beat the Bulldogs of Centerville 51-44 in the opening round of the Wayne County Tourney. The Knights trailed after 1 quarter 9-12. The defense helped spark the offense in the 2nd quarter with Rodney Carlin III scoring 8 of his team high 10 points in the quarter, and outscoring the bulldogs 21-5 in quarter 2, to take the lead at the half 30-17. The Knights would never trail again in the game. The Knights had a balance attack on offense led by Rodney Carlin III and Corbin Isaacs with 10 points each. Brody Ross and Gavin Platt each scored 7 points. Trent Deloney and Ian Webb each had 6 points each. Landon Helms chipped in with 2 points and Khyler Phillips tossed in 1 point. The Knights will play Hagerstown Monday night for the County Championship at Centerville. Tipoff for the 7th grade game will be at 6pm followed by the 8th grade game.
