The Northeastern Lady Knights kicked off the Wayne County Tournament as the heavy favorite. After the game Friday was postponed due to snow, Northeastern would face Cambridge City Lincoln at 10:00am on Saturday with the winner advancing to the Championship game to face Centerville at 6:00pm. Nine different players recorded points for Northeastern as the game was never in doubt. The Lady Knights forced 36 turnovers and capitalized on them scoring 43 points off of those turnovers. Northeastern also dominated the paint outscoring Lincoln 44-0 in that area. The Lady Knight defense was stifling as they held the Eagles to just 1/20 shooting from the floor.
