The Lady Knights opened the Triton Central Holiday Tournament with a matchup vs Jac-Cen-Del. Northeastern struggled to get any type of rhythm offensively but were able to come up with buckets in key moments throughout the game. The Knights were able to extend their lead turning defense into offense with just a few minutes left in the game and were able to stall out the final two minutes of game clock to secure the win. That makes the 7th win in a row for the Lady Knights as they move to 10-4 on the season. Northeastern jumped out to a quick 19-5 lead just seconds into the second quarter but would only score two more points in the frame. In a very tightly contested game with many lead changes, the Lady Knights trailed by only 2 with around 2:30 left in the game. After a couple of miscues on defense, Triton Central was able to capitalize and extend their lead forcing the Knights to foul. Triton Central ended up winning the game by a final of 50-40. The Lady Knights will face Heritage Christian in the 3rd place game on 12/28 at 6:00PM and fall to 10-5 on the season.
