The Lady Knights hosted the Trojans of East Central on Tuesday night and couldn't have asked for a better way to start Christmas break. In a ball game that was back and forth all night the score was tied at 12 after the first frame. Juztice Slick stole the ball and finished a fast break layup at the buzzer just before the half to give Northeastern a 24-21 lead at the half. The Knights defense seemed to give D1 Wofford University commit Josie Trabel and the Lady Trojans fits all evening. In the final seconds, Addisen Mastriano knocked down 1 of 2 free throws to give Northeastern a 3 point lead. The Trojans opted to hold for the final shot which fell short and the Knights escaped with a 46-43 victory. Knights improve to 9-4 on the season while the Trojans fall to 10-5. The Lady Knights are off until 12/27 & 12/28 when they travel to Triton Central to face Jac-Cen-Del in the first round of the Holiday Tournament at 10:30am.
