2A No. 7 ranked Northeastern traveled to 3A No. 13 ranked Jay County on Tuesday night entering the contest with a record of 8-0. The Lady Knights jumped out to an early 11-0 lead by creating some turnovers with their press. Jay County was able to crawl back into the game trailing 17-9 after one quarter of play. Northeastern continued to extend their lead by halftime, leading the Patriots by a score of 32-17. The Knights never trailed in the game and kept Jay County at bay for all 4 frames keeping their perfect season alive. Northeastern will be at home against TEC and Wayne County foe, Centerville, on Friday.
