3 MORE WINS The Lady Knights first traveled to Tri County GC to take on Shenandoah and came away with another impressive win 184-195. The Knights were led by match medalist Lauren Lacey’s 43. Ava Bales(48), Julia Beatty(48), Macey Oler’s new PB of 45, and rounding out the scoring was Baylee Whites 55. Makayla Hopkins fired a 57. Izzy McDugle wasn’t able to complete her round but was shooting a solid round till the darkness halted play. The next evening the Knights welcomed Tri-High and their 2 golfers to Highland and received the win due to Tri not being able to post a team score. The Ladies were on cruise control with Lauren Lacey shooting 45, Ava Bales(47), Julia Beatty(50), Macey Oler(56), and Baylee White(63). Makayla Hopkins fired a new PB of 54 and Izzy McDugle completed her round with a 63. The latest win to help the Knights remain unbeaten was the slimmest margin of victory in recent memory. The Ladies stayed at Highland for an “away” match versus Centerville and it became an instant classic. The Knights were struggling all night and were constantly being reminded that every shot counts and tonight it truly did. The score was tied 200-200 and came down to the tiebreaker of the 5th golfers scores. The Knights Makayla Hopkins posted a 59 and Centerville’s Clare Kaucher posted a 60 meaning the Knights won by 1 stroke. Ava Bales was match medalist with her 46, followed by Lauren Lacey(47), Macey Oler(52), Julia Beatty(55), and Makayla Hopkins’ match sealing 59. Baylee White shot a very nice 54 in JV action and Izzy McDugle had some nice holes while posting a 64. Record: Conference 5-0 Duals 8-0 Overall 19-0
