Northeastern's JV football team picked up a 20-6 win over visiting Franklin County Saturday morning to complete a perfect 8-0 season. The Knights found themselves down 6-0 at halftime but Marshall Phillips got Northeastern on the board with a TD run in the 3rd quarter to tie the game. A recovered fumble set up the go-ahead TD connection from Blake Waters to Kale Hansen from about 40 yards out to take a 12-6 lead. Hansen also scored the last TD with a 55 yard run and Waters punched in the 2 pointer to complete the scoring. The Knights' defense held the Wildcats scoreless in the final 3 quarters and forced multiple turnovers in the second half. Phillips lead the kicking game with several nice punts and a touchback. Riley Isaacs, Nate Darnell and Koleson Pennington-Loaiza lead the defense with several nice plays stopping the run. Northeastern's football future looks bright!
