Northeastern's JV football team picked up a nice win over the visiting Chargers from North Decatur 20-6. After North Decatur struck first and took a 6-0 lead, the Knights responded with a 35 yard TD pass from Blake Waters to Kale Hansen to tie the score at 6-6. Northeaster then took a first half lead they would never relinquish with a long Waters TD run to make it 12-6 at halftime. The Knights' defense was stout in the last 3 quarters as they held the Chargers scoreless. Riley Isaacs had an interception and Kameron Crawford had several sacks on the game. Waters added another TD run and Zane Schneider punched in the 2 point conversion to make the final score 20-6. The Knights are 7-0 on the season. They hopefully return to action next Monday but we are currently looking for an opponent.
