Must come to an end. The Lady Knights' season came to an end after #1 Singles Lauren Lacey lost on Tuesday 6-2, 6-1 to Blue River in the individual singles sectional championship match, and the #1 Doubles senior duo of Chaia Gardner and Ella Coddington lost 6-3, 6-2 to Greenfield Central in the individual doubles sectional championship match. "Despite the season ending, I think we accomplished goals I don't think the girls believed we could do when the season started. 2nd in TEC, a #1 Singles TEC Champ, a spectacular year for the doubles teams, fighting in the Sectional championship, sending #1 Singles and Doubles players to the individual tournament, the list goes on. Hopefully the ladies understand why I coached them hard, simply, because I wanted them to do well for themselves, the team, and our school, and certainly not for me. I love each one of these ladies like family and am honored to have been able to coach them them in my last coaching stint for the foreseeable future. I want to thank all the parents and the school administration for entrusting me with coaching their kids, I think the results speak for themselves, and it has it has been an honor and a privilege coaching this year." -Haynes Final Season Records: #1 Lauren 8-0 TEC, 12-3 Non-Conference, 20-3 Overall #2 Josie 5-5 TEC, 2-5 Non-Conference, 7-10 Overall #3 Aubrey 2-7 TEC, 2-5 Non-Conference, 4-12 Overall #1 Chaia & Ella 8-3 TEC, 6-3 Non-Conference, 14-6 Overall #2 Alyssa & Olivia 9-2 TEC, 7-3 Non-Conference, 16-5 Overall
