The team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Centerville tonight at Highland Lake. Hurts even more when you dot. Have your best stuff and lose so closely. Centerville 173, Knights 176. The number 1 and 2 golfers battled all night. Centerville combined for 79 to our 80. Brady Geis had his best 9 holes, breaking 40 for the first time in his high school career with a 39. A couple 3 putts kept him from going even lower. Hayden Chalfant followed with 41. After 13 putts last night, Chalfant had 19 putts tonight for the round. He continues to really hit the ball well! Landon Scarrette and Landon Helms were 49 and 47 respectively. Scarrette struggled with his wedge and putter. Multiple shanks and 3 putts ruined a wonderful night with the driver. Helms as well had multiple 3 putts and poor wedge shots. Things the team will have to clean up over the next couple weeks as we prepare for Sectional play. Brandt Benjamin rounded out the top 5 with a 50. 22 putts on the night… For JV, Larkin Blanford with a 57. Cam Campbel, our lone senior and Valedictorian of the senior class, 65. Clayton Garringer 69. The Knights compete for a TEC championship on Saturday in New Castle!
