Northeastern MS/HS

After a 3- game losing streak, Northeastern pulled out a win on Wednesday as they traveled to Daleville. Emma Neeley went yard on her first at bat scoring the first run of the game in the first inning. Daleville came back to tie it in the bottom of the first. With a scoreless second and third inning, the Knights were able to push 5 runs across in the fourth, with the help from Kenzie Johnson who drove in 2 runs on a single, and Jocelyn Allen driving in a run as well. The Broncos added 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning putting the score to 6-3. The Knights responded with 2 runs of their own in the top of the seventh, scoring off another RBI from Johnson and an RBI from Ti’aja Adams. The Broncos scored 2 in the bottom of the seventh, but Northeastern held on to their 8-5 lead to end the game. Kenzie Johnson earned the win in the circle for the Knights, striking out 10 hitters, while giving up 5 runs (4 ER) on 8 hits and 3 walks. The Knights will host Rushville on Friday at 5:30 for senior night. They will celebrate their four 2024 grads: Lilly Null, Emma Neeley, Clare Lopeman, and Nevaeh Chapman. Additional Team Stats: K.
