The Lady Knights take down a very good Hauser team, winning 6-2 to start off their weekend. With a scoreless ballgame, the Knights put the first run on the board in the top of the fourth inning, with singles by Emma Neeley (Sr) and Jocelyn Allen (Fr), and a double from Lilly Null (Sr). The Knights added another 4 runs in the fifth inning with 4 back-to-back singles by Ti’aja Adams (So), Lexi Russell (Jr), Neeley, and Allen and a double by Karri Gammon (Fr). Hauser scored their first 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With an additional Northeastern run in the seventh inning, the Lady Knights won 6-2. Freshman Kenzie Johnson had a great game on the mound, giving up only 2 runs in all seven innings. Johnson earned 7 strikeouts and gave up 7 hits on the day, with no walks.
