The Lady Knights went 1-2 in their matches, falling short of winning the TEC outright, but Lauren Lacey won an individual TEC crown, defeating her opponent from Centerville in straight sets. "I'm very proud of the ladies, and I know some are disappointed in the result, but we keep learning and growing as a team. We know what we have to do to win, and if we continue to put ourselves in positions to win, we will, it just takes experience. What we asked these girls to do in the short amount of time we had is incredible! I don't think anyone had us competing for TEC, much less competing at the level we are. We'll be ready for Sectional, but for this moment, I am happy for the girls, especially Lauren at #1, going undefeated in the TEC! I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to teach, and I am proud and honored to be coaching them," said Coach Haynes. The Knights finished 2nd overall in the TEC and will play again on Wednesday in the first round of the sectional, drawing Richmond in Match 1 and playing at 4:30pm @ Tiernan Center Courts.
