The Knights had a great learning experience today while suffering some heartache. Proud of our showing as a team and individuals. Hopefully, we put ourselves in position to learn and accomplish some goals as the season progresses. As a team we shot our best nine of the season on the front in the county tournament. A 164 put the team in the lead and Hayden Chalfant made the turn with a one stroke lead for individual champ. Unfortunately, the back nine was not in the teams favor for Team Champ or Individual medalist. The Knights fell 5 strokes shy of Hagerstown 338 to 343. Great job to the Tigers. All our boys can find a shot or two that would have changed the outcome. Hayden stood on the 16th tee still with that one stroke lead only to fall to a great young player in Brady Moore. Overall, a hugely successful day! Hayden with a second place finish and all county honors was joined by teammate Brady Geis with a tie for 4th and All County as well. Tremendous effort!! Landon Helms 86, Brandt Benjamin 93 and Landon Scarrette 98 rounded out team scoring. Love that every boy broke 100. Great job Knights!
