Northeastern MS/HS

The Northeastern JV football team traveled to Monroe Central Monday night and came away with a 50-0 win over the Golden Bears. They jumped out early to a 30-0 1st quarter lead and scored a TD in each quarter after that. The defense was dominant all night with Marshall Phillips returning one of his two picks for a TD and Dylan Ross returning a punt for a TD contributing to the shutout. Isaac Gray, Kameron Crawford, Thane Berger and Bryson Grimes all had tackles for loss. Riley Isaacs, Dylan Ross, Kale Hansen, Phillips, and Koleson Pennington-Loaiza all had rushing touchdowns and Phillips was 2-2 on PATs. The JV Knights are 4-0 on the season and return to action next Monday at home hosting Union City.
