Knights victorious on Homecoming 83-6 over Lincoln

The Northeastern Knights came away with a Homecoming victory last Friday night 83-6 over the Lincoln Golden Eagles. Calvin Berhalter got the Knights on the board early in the game with a 4 yard TD run after an Ethan Neeley fumble recovery. Eli Hemmelgarn and Dylan Isaacs found the end zone in the quarter along with Logan White adding 2 TD receptions. Conner Archie scored on the ground and on a reception in the 2nd quarter and Noah Ammerman and Isaacs also found the end zone. Carson Terrell threw for 210 yards and 5 scores all in the first half. The Northeastern JV played the entire second half and added rushing touchdowns by Koleson Pennington-Loaiza, Marshall Phillips and Dylan Ross. The Knights' defense forced 6 turnovers on the evening and featured 9 total players with at least 40 yards of total offense. Luke Higdon was 8-9 on extra points and freshman Marshall Phillips was a perfect 3-3. Blayne Bry lead the Black Wall defense with 7 total tackles, Colton Creech had 2 picks, Ammerman added a pick and Blake Water intercepted a pass. Nate Darnell also added a fumble recovery. Northeastern (3-1) returns to action next Friday on the road as they play Union City (1-3).
