The Lady Knights picked up their first victory of the season over the Delta Lady Eagles 11-0 on Tuesday evening. The Knights were led by the hot bat of Freshman Jocelyn Allen. Allen was 3-3 on the night, recording a triple and 2 RBI’s. Seniors Emma Neeley and Clare Lopeman each recorded 2 hits of their own. Offensive consistency proved to play a large role in the win. The Knights rallied in the bottom of the first with 2 outs to put 4 runs on the scoreboard, and continued the pace, scoring in all 4 innings at the plate. The victory was a true team effort as Russell, Wright, Gammon, and K. Johnson all documented hits for the Knights. The Knights defense played strong behind the pitching of Clare Lopeman, who recorded the win. Lopeman pitched 3 complete innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. Sophomore Addi Wright stepped in for the final 2 innings giving up only 1 hit and striking out 4. The Lady Knights will begin TEC play this week, hosting Tri on Thursday and traveling to Knightstown on Friday. Coach Savanna Abner
