Northeastern JV football moves to 3-0 with shutout victory on Tuesday

The Northeastern JV football team improved to 3-0 on the season as they defeated the visiting Falcons of Winchester 36-0 on Tuesday night. Koleson Pennington-Loaiza dominated the first half offensively with 2 rushing touchdowns and a 2 point conversion giving the Knights a 14-0 lead going into the break. Blake Waters had an interception and Isaac Gray had a tackle for loss on a 4th and 1 to keep the Falcons off the scoreboard in the first half. Northeastern extended their lead in the second half with TD runs by Dylan Ross (6 yds), Marshall Phillips (22 yds) and Nate Darnell (12 yds). Waters and Pennington-Loaiza added 2 point conversions for the 36-0 final score. Riley Isaacs had an interception and Kale Hansen recovered a fumble as the Knights' defense was stout throughout the game. Northeastern's JV (3-0) returns to action next Monday as they travel to Parker City, IN to take on Monroe Central.
