Knights stay unbeaten with Homecoming win over Union CIty

The Northeastern Knights moved to 5-0 last Friday night with a 67-14 win over visiting Union City. Juniors Blake Waters and Logan White had record breaking nights for Norheastern as they broke individual game records for passing and receiving TDs. Waters set the new mark at 7 passing TDs in one game and White hauled in 5 of those TDs to set that record. Waters was 15-21 with 279 yards in the air. 5 different Knights caught passes and Colton Creech and Dylan Ross had the other two receiving scores. Ross added a 43 yard scamper for a TD and Trent Deloney and Corbin Isaacs each scored rushing TDs. The Knights had 468 yards of total offense.
Northeastern's defense held the Indians to 3 first downs for the game. Zane Schneider had 11 total tackles, Charlie Shaffer had 10 and Conner Archie had 9 to lead the defense while Logan White had one INT and Deloney picked off Union City twice. Marshall Phillips and Creech each recovered a fumble. Northeastern returns to action this Friday night as they travel to Centerville for a TEC clash with title implications on the line. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.
