Game Recap

The 8th grade Lady Knights came out ready to swing away in the match vs. Randolph Southern. We were able to get a lot of swings from a lot of different girls, they did a great job focusing on our team goal. We won set one easily with a score of 25-13, and then we struggled late in the second set and were forced to a third set. The 8th grade ladies were also determined and took care of business with a score of 15-8. We had 18 team Kills on the night. Anna Drake led the way with a beastly 10 Kills and she chipped in 8 Aces as well, Claire Coddington had 1 Ace, Jakaia Lotz had 1 Ace, 2 Kills, and 2 Assists, Kennedy Seals had 5 Aces and 1 Kill, Madison Fields had 3 Kills, McKaelyn Cummins had 2 Aces and 9 Assists, Payten Stockton had 4 Aces, and Taygan Dalbey had 3 Aces. The Ladies will face Centerville in their first round matchup of the Wayne County Tourney.

Game Recap

The 7th grade Lady Knights started off in their first match ready to prove a point to the Bulldogs. We defeated them in two sets after just beating them earlier this week. Our girls lost a little focus, but hung tight to win in straight sets. Set one was 25-20 and set two was 25-24. Brooklynn Wheeler had 2 Aces and 1 Kill, Alexia Hill had 1 Kill, Brooklyn Fisher had 1 Dig, Bryelle Fisher had 7 Aces and 2 Assists, Kaila Arthur had 6 Aces and 2 Digs, Kamryn McFarland had 3 Aces, 1 Dig, and 1 Assist, Madison Austerman had 4 Kills.

In our second match of the day, we faced another familiar foe that we had faced and defeated a little over a week ago. We came in confident, ready to beat the Tigers, but we ran into a couple 8th graders playing DOWN a level that seemed to give us fits. The ladies played their hearts out, but were unable to come out on top. We lost 25-18 and 25-16 in straight sets. Bryelle Fisher had 2 Aces, 1 Kill, and 1 Assist, Kaila Arthur had 3 Aces, 1 Kill and 3 Digs, Kamryn McFarland had 1 Assist, and Madison Austerman had 1 Kill.
