The Girls Track and Field team finished 9th out of 13 teams at the Owl Invitational at Ball State University on Saturday. The girls had strong showings in all of their events.
The 4×400 relay team of Emma Carr, Faith Phenis, Katie Rader, and Willow Runyon finished in a strong second place. Naleya Kinney finished strong in the high jump with a personal best leap of 5′ which landed her in third place. Jill Berger also competed well in the 300 hurdles with a personal best time of 1:01 which earned her 7th place.
Carr, Phenis, and Runyon also competed well in their individual events. Carr finished 6th and 9th in the 200 and 400 meter dashes respectively. Phenis made the finals in the 100 dash and finished 9th overall. Runyon also made the finals of the 100 and 200 and finished 9th in both events. Runyon also placed 5th in the long jump with a leap of 14’2.25″.
The Lady Knights compete again on April 9th at the Eaton Relays.
