Lady Knights Pull a 180 from Previous Match and Ground Lady Falcons

By Matt Haynes | May 2, 2024 9:00 AM

The Lady Knights, coming off a rough night against Union County, travelled to Winchester and played their best all-around match as a team this season, stunning the Lady Falcons on their home court with a decisive 5-0 victory. Winning at all positions, the Knights showed a toughness and mental focus from start to finish. "The score shows how we fought hard against Winchester, and by no means was this an easy victory. Winchester played hard, but the girls came with their most complete game, mentally prepared and ready to atone for last night's performance. We won the big points, made key breaks on their serving games, and didn't let leads slip away. That was the best way to forget about last night and come out and play well against a top team in the TEC. I loved the energy of the ladies and I know we're not done yet, but we have to push and continue to play well and get even better. I'm hoping we understand this isn't the peak of our play, and we are an even better team than how we played against the Falcons. I'm really proud of the way the girls responded to the challenge tonight," said Coach Haynes. The Lady Knights improve to 7-3 overall, 2-2 non-conference, and 5-1 in the TEC.
